JermaineBeckford.co.uk Old Layouts.

Here we take a quick look at layouts that made JermaineBeckford.co.uk in the past. Enjoy!

3rd Layout

This layout was a vast improvement on the 2nd layout. The page is now wider meaning more content can be fitted into a larger viewable section of the screen at one time. The new search function was implemented allowing you to search through all of the news archives on the website, which saved lots of time when looking for a specific article. Lots of dead links from the previous layout were corrected and old defunct sections of the website were removed. At last the site was working fully with no dead links.

2nd Layout

This layout much more fresh than the first attept. Gone was the clunky sidebar and in with the rounded smooth navigational bar now located at the top of the screen. A search box was added allowing users to search the site using googles custom search. The banner at the top of the page was much better than the original, this being my first real attept at doing anything in photoshop. The news area now has its own page which made updating it so much easier. The multimedia page was overhauled now featuring audio, video and text articles. A good progression on the first JB.co.uk

Original Layout

This layout was bulky and ugly, many of the links were always dead and the links that did work had little relevent information. The news area was all on this one page and was unorganised and un-aligned at the bottom of the homepage. The banner also looked pretty basic. That said this was my first try at a website so i'm pretty pleased with it. It lasted a good year before i decided it was time for a change.
